Kardiogen Plus is an advanced screening test that provides a personalized and comprehensive assessment of your risk for developing coronary artery disease (CAD) with the help of integrated risk score (IRS). The risk is calculated using a validated Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) based on over 1.3 million genetic markers, combined with clinical parameters like age, cholesterol and blood pressure.
*The Kardiogen Plus test is validated for the South Asian population with a Positive predicted value (PPV) of 95%.
The Integrated Risk Score combines polygenic risk score with clinical risk score to estimate an individual's risk of developing coronary artery disease (CAD). The Integrated Risk Score categorizes the tested individual as high or average risk of developing CAD.
Polygenic Risk Score (PRS): The Polygenic Risk Score quantifies the contributing effects of multiple genetic (DNA) markers into a score and estimates whether the tested individual is at a high, moderate, or average risk of developing a CAD condition.
Clinical risk score: Estimates an individual risk of developing CAD by considering important health and lifestyle variables such as Age, gender, smoking status, lipid levels, BMI, blood pressure, diabetes, and use of blood pressure lowering & lipid-lowering drugs.
Your screening includes a Lipid Profile test, and providing your recent blood pressure readings is mandatory.
